Assistant Store Manager - Rochester at Legacy Toys

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience within their store. They are responsible for maintaining a friendly, clean, well stocked store, receiving purchase orders, transfers, and tracking special orders. They’ll assist with the implementation of company policies and goals, as well as the staff schedule; including filling in for an emergency. They will provide training of Sales Associates, and Shift Leads; providing regular updates to the Manager about employee progress, concerns, and scheduling needs. They’ll monitor inventory, including organization of the back room and sales floor as well as sharing new product information with sales team. The Assistant Manager ensures the sales floor is shop-able at all times. It is the express duty of the Assistant Manager to maintain a positive working environment for ALL.

• General Responsibilities:

1. Greeting and directing customers
2. Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing, special orders, etc...)
3. Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
4. Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
5. Cross-sell products
6. Ensure racks are fully stocked
7. Coordinate with the Sales team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
8. Inform customers about discounts, special offers and our rewards program
9. Stay up-to-date with new products/services
10. Engage in positive conversation with customers of all ages
11. Help educate customers on our products, including demonstrations when possible
12. Complete Customer Checkouts
13. Properly Representing the Legacy Toys Brand Experience
14. Handling Customer Relations and Store Experience
15. Training Shift Leads and Sales Associates
16. Inventory Management and Merchandising
17. Cleanliness on the sales floor and in the backroom
18. Communicating Consumer Behavior to Manager
19. Ensuring Store Schedules and Objectives are met by Team Members
